Two weeks ago, leaves were golden and red. One week ago, they were yellow. On the weekend they disappeared entirely. You may have heard there were big winds in this part of the world on Sunday. Ann Arbor looks different now that so many of her trees are denuded. We can see buildings for the first time, and the houses behind our pond look much closer without the leafy screen.
